My wife and I stayed at the resort about 5 months after it opened in 1992. We have been back a couple of times after that with the previous stay great until I got nipped by a dingo on the back of my heal. The resort has changed in ownership (Accor) and now has a dingo proof fence surrounding the resort. Accor will be refurbishing the resort (yes it was looking a little run down!) so hopefully it will bring it back to looking as wonderful as it did in 1992 or better! The staff were wonderful that we dealt with and helped us with the questions we wanted to know. Going to the Maheno Restaurant was a pleasant suprise for a buffet dinner. The variety of seafood meat vegetables and salads were great along with soup, breads, cheeses and deserts was well worth the $65.00 per person charged. We were able to use our Advantage plus card to get our 50% off our meal (two for the price of one!) but were not able to use it for Breakfast. Otherwise our stay was relaxing and pleasant. We look forward to returning in a year or two to see it refurbished hopefully. Michael Bailey

This is the office of Kingfisher Bay Resort, NOT the Village itself which is located on Fraser Island (North shore)
