Terrible - misinformation +++ Informed me that I could not put in a clause to have my animals rehomed by the AWL after my passing - only the RSPCA although I volunteer at the AWL and know this isn't true . Like other reviewers here I would now also say DONT TRUST THEM or USE THEM. I certainly won't - so many errors and problems writing up a very simple will with simple requests . Only glad this happened before my will was actualised i.e. I have now withdrawn my will from the Public Trustee & also the Enduring Power of Attorney !

Expensive, inefficient and somewhat incompetent. If you use The Public Trustee to create your will please be aware that you DO NOT need to NOMINATE THEM AS EXECUTOR of the estate. It took 18 months and cost $10K to settle my uncle's estate which was a very straightforward will. In that time we had to deal with 6 different estate administrators (high employee turnover) who never seemed to know where in the process we were at . One third of a share portfolio was accidentally sold because the public trustee officer "ticked the wrong box". Nominate a trusted friend or family member as executor who can then seek the solicitor of their choice.

THIEVES. They actually sent out a reconnaissance team, to scope out how much money and property my mother had. I volunteered the information at the time because I had no idea what would transpire. Fast forward 4 months and they now have their filthy claws on everything my mother and I worked for, all conveniently aided and abetted by QCAT. The system stinks

Not really sure where to start . They seemed ok when I first had to see them after my mother passing away . then on the day I had to organise everything . the guy handling it seemed very abrupt and did not have a pleasant manner at all . { my mother had passed away and I was not feeling very good at all } We got things organised , and the bill came . there were costs everywhere , right down to the amount of ink used on the paper. Sure its free to do your will , but yes I think they are vultures . they were talking about me selling the house right after my mothers death . If you can afford a private solicitor for a will then go for it. For a government organisation , it is shameful .
