But I come with words of strength as someone who lived through it all. One day these kids are going to be 18 and able to make a choice. The only mantra that got me through was - "I am going to be the best person I can be for when my child is 18". I resisted so many plans to end my own life with that mantra. I had two degrees, a job and was 57kg when it all started. By the time my daughter was 18 I hadn't worked for years and was close on 97kg. But I was ALIVE.

Avoid. Seven out of 8 cases settle anyway. Just a mess. Little wonder its called The Family Lawyers Act 1975

A front for the financial interests of the Law Society . Hopelessly mismanaged. Brutal with children. This instiution needs to be closed down and the work done by competent lawyers like The Federal Court

I pray for every parent male or female who has been estranged from their child(ren) by this place that God will comfort and protect you. If this saves one life it is worth it.

My daughter took a year after she turned 18 to return back, but then lived with me for five years and recently moved out into her own flat a couple of km away from me as she has a job. I picked her up today from work and tomorrow she comes to visit and help me out with something.

It has been ten years since I've ventured in there but I was in there for OVER ten trying to get the merest of contact with my beloved daughter.

Worst court ever. There is NO JUSTICE in this country when it comes to fathers & their right to see their children!!

Here to drop in one form. Two staff on and a room full of people waiting and no movement in 20 minutes in the que . Considering the charges for lodging forms you think they would employ enough staff to actually serve customers in all seven counters not two poor overworked staff. Going be a long long wait.

Please I beg you, do not end it all. However it works out for you there is a whole new chapter of hope when the kids are 18 and they are no longer in the clutches of this terrible system. BE THERE FOR IT.

Trust me, it is not only men who fare badly - every time I went in there I got less contact/involvement than before if that was at all possible. And the women registrars/ judges were the worst, openly sniggering and smirking about it all.
