Albert St Uniting Church is not only a place of meditation and worship. It is also a warm, peaceful oasis in the midst of a busy city. And a magnificent building. Its vitraux and elaborate wood work are a delight to our sight and soul. A must see in the city.. !

I do not know about the architecture, I have seen it but I do not wish to comment about it here. What I do wish to comment is the people of Wesley mission. The church seems to believe it is a sanctuary in a well of pollution, well I must say it is quite the opposite. The Wesley mission is a well of disgust in a pool of beauty: I.e. Brisbane. The whole inner city has it shortcomings, but I have seen worse *cough Sydney *cough. The people here are atrocious and they look upon you with contempt as if you are some lowly bum who needs saving. One woman asked me if I was hungry and then asked I wanted food and laughed when I accepted the offer. Is this what Christians are like? No wonder the church is failing. It's full of old farts who are terribly unkind and manipulative. The last bastion of a great era. Well here's to Jesus, he has reigned supreme for almost 2000 years, and he is soon to be dethroned. At that time I will be happy to see the back of organisations such as Wesley Mission.
